BACKCOUNTRY PILOT FLY-IN
BannerThis year's Backcountry Pilot Fly-In is scheduled for June 25 thru the 27th, 2010 at Pegasus Airpark (50PA). That is a Friday to Sunday schedule. The field will be ready and open for arrivals Friday afternoon.

Pegasus has room for about 25 to 30 aircraft and plenty of camping space. There are Porta-Potties, water for washing and drinking but no showers, two propane barbecues, and a refrigerator. We will have a large coffee pot going day and night, crock pots keeping sandwich material hot, various chips, dips, and salads, and cold water, soda and beer available.

There is a country B&B just across the lane from the airport and a motel nearby.

Within 30 minutes of flight time of Pegasus are several airports with restaurants serving breakfast and lunch. We will have information at the fly-in for how to get there and will organize a group flight if there are several folks interested.

Pegasus AirparkAnother great short flight is to Grimes Airpark, the Home of the Golden Age Air Museum. Grimes is a old-time airport with a wonderful grass strip.

At night we have a big fire ring with plenty of wood. If the skies are clear, there will be a couple of telescopes for viewing. Saturday night there will be aviation movies in the EAA Chapter hangar.

Please come and have a great time flying around the Poconos during the day and socializing in the evenings!
