United States Powered Paragliding Association

The United States Powered Paragliding Association (USPPA) is an aviation member organization whose mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance the sport of powered paragliding. Preservation of the right to fly PPGs is paramount to this mission and aviation education and safety is the surest path to protecting this right, which is why USPPA has established programs for certifying instructors and pilots. Join USPPA and explore their growing list of benefits for PPG enthusiasts, pilots and instructors.

About the United States Powered Paragliding Association

Formed in 2001, USPPA works to represent the interests of its growing membership base in the PPG community. USPPA administers programs and disseminates information to develop, foster and promote practices for safe PPG flying, including education and standards for pilot training (i.e., airmanship and knowledge of the appropriate FARs), awards/recognition, and national/international competition.

What is Powered Paragliding?

Get ready for the ride of your life! Paragliding is the simplest form of flight: no plane, no windows, just you floating on air. A paraglider is a foot-launched inflatable wing. It is easy to transport, easy to launch, and easy to land!

Is this for me?
